To Russian listeners who are against this war: I'm sorry you have to deal with your leaders' decisions and actions. I'm sorry you'll probably have to deal personally with misdirected hate for many years (maybe generations) to come because you were born or speak Russian.***

Humanity Lost is a very special album to me.

Reading news about the war in general feels unfair. Watching it all occur from the confort of my home feels unfair.

A part of me was sad and angry all year because of what is happening in Ukraine. I still am... But most of all, I feel powerless.

To be honest, there's nothing much we can do when our government(s) don't do s**t. We have families, jobs, rents; our lives continue as if nothing is happening because it's "far away from here".. all that while humans just like us, who had lives just like ours, are now living in hell because some other humans decided to attack their country.

(BTW, please consider giving whatever you can to humanitarian aid, they still need us).

During the pandemic, after the release of Rebellion, I had more than enough new material to make two albums. What came out of those hundreds of demos felt way too depressing honestly. A tiny bit of the most positive stuff came out on The Man Who Sold the World EP (the rest will sit on my computer for who knows how long).

When Russia invaded Ukraine, I started writing new songs. By the end of March 2022 , I knew it would be my next album. I knew it when the song Humanity Lost was written, that song set the mood for the whole record.

I selected a dozen tracks out of 28 new demos I had completed by June 2022. At that time, a raw version album was done and could be listened to in its entirety. All I had left to do, after the summer vacations, was to polish the mix and record a bunch more instruments (it's kinda long doing all that alone) and more vocals.

Sadly, COVID finally caught our family in October 2022 and, for a while, I couldn't sing without coughing. I was short of breath as well anyways. So I decided to take a brake from the album and worked on my VIDEO GAMES vol.1 project.

Fast forward February 2023 , the VIDEO GAMES vol.1 album was done and I was finally able to sing properly again.

It was time to put the finishing touches on Humanity Lost.

Now that it's released, I hope it will find its way through the internet and give comfort to, at least a few people for, at least, a couple of minutes and give some people a bit of hope and strength.

They say music is powerful, I believe it can be, but being a mostly unknown indie artist it's kinda hard to be heard. So if you enjoy what you hear, please take a minute to share it with friends or with someone who you think would give it a spin.
